KALAMAZOO (MICH.) – Actress Giovonnie Samuels of such films as Freedom Writers and Bring it On, will host a “How to Audition for Hollywood,” workshop for youth in grades 3rd-12th. The workshop will be held from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2022, at the Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan Conference Center, 601 W. Maple Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49008. Samuels began her career as a child actor in such television shows as That’s So Raven and The Suite Life of Zac and Cody. She now shares of her experiences and expertise in the business of Hollywood as an acting coach. During this fun, interactive workshop, Samuels will share tips on how to prepare for auditions in addition to improvisation and other activities that will motivate youth to take their passion for theater and the movies to a new level.
